Hill Country Insider Return Policy

This policy outlines our procedures for returns, exchanges, and refunds to make your shopping experience as seamless as possible.

Shipping Limitations

Please note that Hill Country Insider currently ships only within the United States. We are unable to process international orders or returns at this time.

Return Eligibility

Our return window is 30 days from the date you receive your item, as confirmed by our tracking information. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in its original, unused condition with all tags attached and packaging intact. We carefully inspect all returned items to ensure they meet these criteria.

While we strive to accommodate returns on most items, there are some exceptions. Items that have been used, worn, or altered from their original condition are not eligible for return. Additionally, we cannot accept returns on personalized or custom-made items, gift cards, candles, or perishable goods. These items are considered final sale due to their nature.

To maintain fairness and prevent abuse, we limit customers to two returns or exchanges per month. Hill Country Insider reserves the right to decline returns or exchanges if we perceive any abuse of this policy.

Initiating a Return

If you wish to return an item, please start by contacting our customer service team via email here or via our contact form to request a return authorization. Our team will guide you through the process.

When preparing your return, please pack the item securely in its original packaging, if possible. This helps protect the item during transit and ensures it arrives back to us in the same condition you received it. Include your order number and a brief explanation of your return reason with the package.

Once your package is ready, ship it to the address provided by our customer service team. We recommend using a trackable shipping method.

Damaged or Defective Items

If you receive a damaged or defective item, please contact our customer service team within 48 hours of receiving the item. You will need to email clear photos of the damaged item to hillcountryinsider@gmail.com within this 48-hour window.

Upon review of the photos, we reserve the right to either:

  1. Send a replacement immediately, or
  2. Require the item to be returned to us (shipping 'on us') before we ship a replacement.

If the damaged item is out of stock, we will issue store credit for the same value as the original purchase. In this case, we will provide a coupon code or refund the shipping cost for your upcoming order to ensure you're not penalized for the inconvenience.

Refunds and Processing

For the purposes of this policy, we use the terms "returns" and "refunds" interchangeably. Once we receive your return, our team will carefully inspect the item to ensure it meets our return criteria. After inspection, we'll process your refund.

Refunds are always issued to the original payment method used for the purchase. Processing times for returns and refunds may vary depending on current volume and other factors; while we strive to process returns as quickly as possible, please allow for adequate time for your return to be received, inspected, and processed.

Please note that the maximum refund amount for any single transaction is $300. If your original purchase exceeded this amount, the refund will be capped at $300.

Exchanges

We understand that sometimes you may love an item but need a different size or color. In these cases, we're happy to offer exchanges. To initiate an exchange, please follow the same return process outlined above and place a new order for the desired item.

For exchanges, Hill Country Insider will provide a prepaid return shipping label for the item you're sending back. When you place your new order for the exchange item, you can use a special code provided by our customer service team. This code will either provide free shipping on your new order or allow us to refund the shipping cost after the order is placed. This process ensures you can get the right product without incurring additional shipping expenses.

The limit of two returns or exchanges per month applies to exchanges as well.

Shipping Costs

For standard returns where a refund is issued, customers are responsible for the cost of return shipping. We recommend choosing a trackable shipping method to ensure your return reaches us safely.

As mentioned earlier, for exchanges, Hill Country Insider will provide a prepaid return shipping label for the item you're sending back, and we offer a way to avoid shipping costs on your new order through our exchange process.

Final Sale Items

Certain items at Hill Country Insider are not eligible for return or exchange. These include items that are not in their original condition, personalized or custom-made items, gift cards, candles, and perishable goods.

Additional Information

It's important to note that this return policy is subject to our Terms of Service. In the event of any discrepancy between this policy and the Terms of Service, the Terms of Service shall prevail. Hill Country Insider reserves the right to refuse returns that do not meet the criteria outlined in this policy or if we perceive any abuse of the policy.
